Mother’s Day idea: PLEASE Make Your Bed
Brush your hair, brush your teeth, and PLEASE make your bed. Daily reminders by you-know-who: Mom. You hear those words every single day. Up the stairs, down the hall and over a bowl of cereal. Geez. You roll your eyes and give a sigh. I’m 11 years old and I know how to do it. Truly I can - just not right now.
Well here’s your chance to prove it - a golden opportunity. It’s almost Mother’s Day. If you want to do something she’ll truly appreciate, then here’s a simple idea for you. Show your mother how her gentle prodding, repeated requests, ardent appeals, and predictable pleas have not been in vain. Show her she is being heard by you - even acknowledged. Try it on her special day.
Grab the hair and tooth brushes. Pull yourself together nice and neat. It’s not for you - it’s for your mother. The person who loves and cares enough to remind her daughter each (and every) day. Mother’s Day idea: Put it All Away
Toys, blocks and dirty socks. What can you, young child (tween or teenager alike), do for your mother on her special day? Flowers, crafts and sweet treats are, well, OK. But if you want an even grander idea: Put it All Away. Dad can help and siblings too. Stuff it here, tuck it in there. Socks to the hamper. Hang it high (if you can reach) or line it up low.
