More details: Lauryn Anabelle’s Kudos Crib, Mix Single Dresser and Changing Station were all manufactured in North Carolina by Young America, a premiere infant and youth furniture brand that is committed to providing parents with the safety and quality that accompanies domestic production. J.R. and Diana engaged Little Crown Interiors, a Los Angeles-based design firm specializing in infant and children’s spaces, to lead the nursery design process, and the team felt Young America’s Mix Collection, which offers sleek, contemporary lines and 120 finish combinations, best complemented their plans for the space.
Desiring a darker finish for the furniture, the designers opted to pair a deep espresso tone with a warmer walnut accent color. This two-tone wood finish contrasts stylishly with the nursery’s light-colored walls, curtains and white-washed flooring while directing attention to the centerpiece of the room, which is a mural that honors the memories of the baby’s two namesakes — Diana’s sister Lauren, who passed away earlier this year, and J.R.’s late sister Anabel. The mural depicts the couple’s sisters as angels on either side of a custom-made sign that spells out the baby’s nickname, Belle.
“In creating this nursery, the style of the crib, dresser and changing station was as important as the functionality of the pieces,” said Gerri Panebianco, founder and designer at Little Crown Interiors. “Young America’s furniture offers the clean lines, great scale and stand-out quality we wanted, while the brand’s commitment to safety has provided J.R. and Diana with added peace of mind. To give the nursery space a light, bright and airy feel, we decided to use a white- and cream-colored background palette and incorporated furniture and accessories in darker, saturated tones for a luxurious effect. Young America’s array of finish options and distinctive styling were essential to making our unique vision for this nursery a reality.”
Although Belle is only two months old, both she and her nursery have already made a splash in the entertainment media. Belle and her beautiful nursery have been featured in People magazine and In Touch Weekly as well as on the syndicated television shows Entertainment Tonight and Bethenny.
